Reviews Summary

Visitors rave about the Red Brick Art Museum's stunning, unique architecture and its captivating contemporary art exhibitions, particularly those by international artists. The geometric design and use of light are frequently highlighted as photographic highlights. Some visitors note that the 'red' bricks can appear grey due to air quality and that accessibility might be a concern in certain areas.

"If you like architecture especially brick architecture you have to come here. The highlight of this place is the architecture and it's garden. The art gallery is rather limited. If you love taking photos, this is a photographer's heaven.

The garden in the back is a must visit. There is a Cafe & restaurant at the back overlooking the pond with outdoor seating. Simple menus but if the weather is nice the outdoor seating is a great place to spend an afternoon.

The place is not big so about 1-2 hours here on a leisurely schedule."

Kwan Jamigranont

"Must-see if you are into architecture/the arts! The building alone is worth the trip out there in the middle of nowhere. The quality of the content obviously depends on the artists on exhibit at the time of your visit.

Currently (SEP18) the Andreas Mühe exhibit is highly recommended. The quality of his photography goes under your skin (maybe I am being partial: My German up-bringing certainly helped me understand his often very German subject matter).

Anyway, go go go. So far I have been very disappointed by what Beijing has to offer. But this museum is top notch. It would even befit a sophisticated city like Tokyo."

F. S. (Herr Stumpfenstiel)

"I think this place is ok. It’s a bit over rated / over hyped by those Instagrammers so I was here to check it out. The architectures in the courtyard behind the main exhibition were more interesting than the exhibition itself... parking is limited so you might want to come early. The entrance fee is a bit steep for what you actually can see in the museum... not sure if I would recommend this place but if you want to post something on Instagram yeah maybe this is a good place to get some pictures..."
