What Travellers Say
Reviews Summary
Visitors praise the Shanghai Auto Museum for its extensive and well-preserved collection of antique and classic cars, offering an informative and interactive experience. The hands-on activities for children and the 'Antique Car Experience' are particularly highlighted as enjoyable features. However, some note that the museum's location can be a trek from downtown Shanghai, and its appeal might be limited for those with little interest in automobiles.
"Informative and interactive museums!
A large collection of antique cars.
You can rent an audio player to guide you thru, there is English and mandarin option.
The cafe on the top floor is ok, we only got a coffee. And btw you are allowed to bring along the coffee when you browse.
There is a “Antique Car Experience” for paying about ¥300 which already includes 2adults and 1 or 2 children entrance tickets. A 20 mins ride to a nearby park where you can take good look at the car and take photos!
This museum gives you the history of automobile from invention, to adding speed elements, to modifications and manufactures.
It is almost like the Patterson automobile museum in LA, if you know which one"
