What Travellers Say
Reviews Summary
TOPS Shanghai offers truly spectacular panoramic views of the Shanghai skyline and the Bund, especially captivating at night. While the vistas are a major draw, be prepared for premium pricing on cocktails and potential minimum spending requirements during peak times. Service can sometimes be slow, but the food offerings have pleasantly surprised some guests.
"Stayed at Banyan Tree so Tops bar was just above.
The view of the bund was awesome, but I believe the prices are little steep for cocktails (around 120 rmb per glass) - mind you it’s for an “okay” glass, nothing special. They use normal ice cubes for their old fashioned, not the normal ice block or ice balls.
We ordered sweet potato fries and some sausages and was more impressed with the food than the drinks.
There was also a minimum spending of 400RMB per table (believe it was what you have to pay for the view).
If you stayed at Banyan and come early (which we didn’t), there was 1-1 for drinks."
