What Travellers Say
Reviews Summary
Visitors find West Bund Riverside to be a modern and pleasant waterfront area, ideal for leisurely walks and enjoying river views. It's praised for its art scene and pet-friendly atmosphere, offering a more relaxed vibe than the historic Bund. However, some find it less central and note that certain attractions can be pricey.
"The bund is Overrated and overcrowded nice to take 1 or 2 pictures but don't go to Shanghai just for places like the bund, old street or the former french concession. I didn't stay in this hotel so my opinion is not about it. It's about the bund in general."

"Absolute worth for money
Long stay at this hotel. This place was amazing. For the amount paid, this was an awesome stay. Booked through HotelClub and got a good discount also. The location is not central but is still a good location as it is close to most central places. It is only a few minutes walk to the Nanjing Road East metro station and not too far from the Bund. Taxis were easily available at most times or the hotel staff could also help call one. The staff is very good and understanding. Good part is that there is a pub and few food options in the hotel. One issue was that the carpet was not regularly vacuum cleaned. Also, for wifi a separate modem is required that the hotel provides with a deposit."

"This hotel is over rated. Should rate as a two star hotel. Unfriendly front desk, very bad and rude attitude. The room is old and thorn. Even their so call better deluxe room is full of faulty equipment, most importantly is faulty heater system during winter. Very bad experience with this hotel. Changed three room from their superior until their best range deluxe room, upgrade is not free. Not impressive at all and still many faulty equipment. Wasted hours changing room even at midnight and caught flu because of this but not even an apology. Promised to give late check out because our night is interrupted but insist want to charge additional for the late check out the next day. The breakfast is terrible, choice of food is very little and the food is serve cold and bad. Will never stay in this hotel any more. They don't really welcome foreigners."
