"Beautiful and large, ancient Daoist Temple not so far from Tianning Temple. You can walk there easily. It’s quiet, costs ¥10 to go in. It’s worth it. Sometimes Daoist priests will offer spontaneous teachings to an eager audience."
Micheal Harding
"An exceptionally beautiful example of a Taoist temple and since the temple is a reasonable stretch of the frequently accessed tourist paths, it is wonderfully quiet there. No mass tourism. No rush, but look around at your leisure. So don't ruin the tranquility by visting the temple all at the same time!"
Koen
"It's a 1.5km walk (20 min) from exit C1 of the Muxidi metro station on line 1. A 10 RMB gate fee. This is an active Taoist temple (White Cloud Temple) and you'll see worshipers burning incense. It was peaceful. All buildings with open doorways had English signs. These were buildings of worship with knee pads set in the front for worshipers to bow. There is a bridge called "Wo Feng Bridge" which hangs a large disc with an open center. You are encouraged to throw a token through center for good luck. However, the booth that sells tokens was closed. Towards the rear, there is a serene rock formation garden. At the ticket gate, vendors sold incense and offered palm reading or some kind of healing service."
