"Chairman Mao was giving birth at this small villages in Shaoshan farmer family. This residence where he lived for 17 years with his siblings and parents . The old residence show case of his childhood and the farming works. He loves to study instead of doing the farm work as one of the eldest son, he has high expectation from his dad to inherit the family business. Great to visit if you happen to be here to see his childhood residence ! This is just another 10 mins walk from the bronze statue. You may expect to have Long queue into visiting if his house and you also need to keep your camera and big carrier in the locker!"
