"You get scenic view of north of Bogota. At the top is Soratama Jungle.
It's managed by the government and very neatly maintained. No entry fee, trail is easy with a couple of watching towers. Do visit cave having murals showcasing Colombia.
It seems there is a restaurant near administration office but I didn't try. I carried my own food.
Passing through Soratama is like passing through a Colombian village. I walked from Simon Bolivar Hospital till top. The road is steep. if you want, there is private shuttle service which can take you to the entrance of the Jungle. Bus service runs every 30-40 min or so. We preferred to walk all the way and were surprised by stray dogs 😅
Security guards in the jungle are helpful and give lots of information. There are lots of plants/ trees with their Colombian names and details given along the trail"

"Once I arrived, I was asked to complete a paper with my name , email and passport. Then the security guard asked me to scan a QR code wich led me to an 11 page google document for me to fill out about very personal information about myself incluiding my sexuality. 11 pages. The staff were also taking fotos of me without even asking. I felt very uncomfortable with this so I left. I am a foreigner so I think that is why but if you're not Colombian I would be very careful about coming here."
