What Travellers Say
Reviews Summary
Delirio Salsa Show is lauded for its incredibly talented performers, high-energy salsa dancing, and vibrant atmosphere, making it a must-see in Cali. While the show itself is a passionate display of Colombian culture, some reviews mention that the venue could benefit from updates and that the sound quality can be inconsistent. Despite minor critiques, the overall experience is overwhelmingly positive, celebrated for its unique blend of salsa, circus, and live music.
"If you're in Cali, Carpa Delirio is a must-see. The dancing is out of this world—fast, sharp, and full of that signature Cali salsa flair. The performers bring so much passion and skill to the stage, it’s impossible not to get swept up in the energy.
The live band, colorful costumes, and party vibe make it a super fun night out. That said, the venue itself could use a bit of love—some parts feel a little outdated or tight. With a space that truly matches the talent on stage, this show could go from great to world-class."

"Amazing show. The reason we went to Cali. Definitely plan a trip to see the show. Apparently they never perform the same show twice, so plan multiple trips."

"I was born in Cali, almost 5 decades ago. We left Colombia when I was a child, but we always retained an appreciation and love for the Colombian culture; art, food, folklore… natural beauty. I had heard good things about Delirio and that people would come from far away to witness the spectacle. But what we found was a hodgepodge that definitely does not amount to what we consider to be true artistry. We would have much rather gone to a smaller, local club to witness great dancers, passionately doing their thing, in unison. Don’t get me wrong, there are great dancers and musicians at Delirio, but the show is large and messy, the sound is poor (especially for the lateral tables), the illumination is mediocre and even blinding, at times... the circus acts are basic (not comparable to any notable circus around the world) and, though it is a highly subjective criticism: the uniforms and set design are very cheesy and do not do justice to Colombian culture and taste. Cali can do much better!
Also, at the beginning of the show (possibly due to rain), there was an electrical short-circuit or fire somewhere outside the tent, and the toxic stink of it invaded our whole side of the tent. Nobody seemed to react or even care.
I am guessing that some people will consider my review surprising or will not identify with it, but I assure you that I love Cali, I love good art from all over the world, and I very much wanted to enjoy this spectacle. Unfortunately, I did not… nor did anyone else in our party of six, including people that live in Bogotá, Spain, USA, and Costa Rica (diverse group).
I want you to know that the vast majority of my reviews are positive. I think that people using social networks should not focus on negative experiences. But it is important to express conscious and informative feedback.
To conclude and to be fair, I will admit that we only stayed for 80 - 90 minutes. At the hour mark, we unanimously decided to leave.
My advice is to experience traditional salsa, at a smaller venue."
