"Great view in general but especially for the sunset as it faces west. The view of the Charleston hotel and square is beautiful as well. The Baluarte has a large stone ramp as well as wooden stairs to easily get on top.
The public square at the base of the ramp is FULL of street merchants pushing their wares and services on EVERY passerby. At night it gets worse. There are public bathrooms (FREE) nestled in the base of the Baluarte. Clean but cramped.
There is an open air /cabana style bar at the top level which also serves food. It was open for the wedding we attended, but not sure it is during the day for the public."
