What Travellers Say
Reviews Summary
Visitors praise Los Yarumos Ecopark for its free admission, beautiful city views, and family-friendly attractions like the butterfly house and mini zoo. Some note that certain activities have limited weekend hours and the stone slide could be faster, but overall it's considered a wonderful, relaxing place to enjoy nature.
"Our family visited not knowing what I expect. We went during the week around 3pm so there were few people there. Our 8 year old enjoyed the play area that is on your left as you enter. There are additional flowers and a pigeon house a bit further down.
Walking up you find a Butterfly area that is open Thurs to Sun (I think). There is also a little farm with a very vocal lamb or goat. Lots of ducklings, roosters, chickens. There is a climbing wall in the little farm but I think it’s open only weekends.
Further up is the BioMa (focused on teaching the community how to be environmentally responsible citizens (in Spanish)), beautiful views are all around, and our 8 year old’s favorite— the stone slide. Kinda hard to really pick up speed, even with the little papers for sliding. Something else needed to really take advantage of the slide. Construction was going on so it looks like they are adding to the park.
Admission: Free Open until 5pm."

"Wonderful! Perfect place to go with children. You can enjoy a wonderful view of the city from this point and is free. It's really easy to go, you only have to take the bus that reads "minitas" and say the driver where you are going, he will leave you in the nearest point you only have to walk few minutes up hill. You can also find food there and it's not so expensive"
