Travelers consistently praise the Tranvía de Ayacucho for its comfort, speed, and cleanliness, highlighting the vibrant murals and scenic city views as major draws. Its seamless integration with the Metro system and affordability make it a top choice for getting around Medellín. Some users note it can get very crowded during rush hour, suggesting weekend visits for a more relaxed experience.

"Very comfortable, fast, clean, and pleasant. It's affordable, has stops along the way, and you can see the city of Medellín moving through the windows. It tends to get very crowded during rush hour. It's more convenient on weekends. It connects to the metro, and the price is lower if you take the metro."

Soraya

"It is one of the Medellín metro lines that has helped the mobilization of a large part of the Paisa population. It starts at the San Antonio metro station, you have to leave it and go down the escalators where finally with the civic card you enter the tram platform. There are lockers to recharge the card although there are always metro staff willing to help with the procedure. It has 9 stations, two of them with access to the new metrocable lines; Miraflores and Oriente. It is a convenient, fast, innovative service that has helped the mobilization of citizens. As always, it is important to remember that you cannot eat inside the facilities. The service hours are from Monday to Saturday from 4.30 am to 11.00 pm and on Sundays and holidays from 5.00 am to 10.00 pm. The tram market is located between the Buenos Aires and Miraflores tram stations, which offers an incredible gastronomic offer to enjoy after the tram tour. Accessibility is adequate. Near these stations there is a bicycle parking service."

"This mode of transportation connects to the metro and the cable car. You can take it at the San Antonio metro station, and if you don't have a metro card, you'll have to pay an extra fare to board. You'll see various murals along the way, and if you go to the last stop, you can access a cable car line without paying extra. It's very comfortable and the tram doesn't make any noise."
