Reviews Summary

Visitors rave about the highly informative and engaging coffee and chocolate tours at Finca La Candelaria, praising the knowledgeable guides and the authentic farm experience. The stunning hilltop views and the opportunity to purchase pure, artisanal products are also significant highlights. While the steep hike up is challenging, most agree it's well worth the effort, with many recommending a moto-taxi for the ascent.

"We did the coffee tour this morning and it was fantastic! We were the only ones on the tour (the chocolate one after seemed much busier). Very in depth tour (in english too!), we learnt the whole process from growing right through to grinding and got to taste the coffee too. So happy we did this- highly recommend.

(Take a moto taxi up 20k per person as its a very, very steep walk up otherwise!)."

"Came here by quite a picturesque hike. There 2 ways to come by waking, via waterfall or by the off-road.
Owners are very friendly and kind. Place has amazing views, fresh fruits, drinks and coffee or cacao tours. We took cacao one and it was great. They do speak English, explain all steps of cacao making, let you try different types of cacao/chocolate. Tour was very informative and interesting. Also you can buy some pure chocolate there for better price than anywhere in the city
Highly recommended to visit!"

"Came here for the cacao tour and it was absolutely amazing! I didn't make a booking. Arrived during their hours of operation and waited 20 minutes for the next tour to begin (all in English). Our guide was very knowledgable and interactive. It's a family run farm, and you can buy chocolates & cacao from their shop after.

The walk up was quite tough in the heat, but good exercise and well worth it!"
