"The San Agustín church on 24th Street and 17th Street is one of the oldest in the city and belonged, until the mid-20th century, to the Augustinian priests who arrived in Pasto in 1585. The current church, with colonial features on its exterior, was built after the 1834 earthquake when numerous religious buildings were destroyed.

Its style is Romanesque with certain reminiscences of other churches found elsewhere in the country. San Agustín houses historic images from the 23rd-century Quito School. Among them, the Lord of the Falls stands out, considered a true colonial gem. Its main figure is Jesus of Nazareth carrying the cross on the way to Calvary, accompanied by sculptures of Roman soldiers."
