"Our first trip to CR. This lodge was amazing - first and foremost because of the amazingly helpful staff and owners. Located in the volcano area, this is a huge property that is beautifully maintained. The bar/restaurant area was super cool and the provided food was really great - so obviously fresh! Room was great also - spacious enough for 4, comfortable beds and a super private and relaxing back patio area. Loved sitting out there at night. Highly recommend for families and eco lovers. Tons of nature and local experiences in and around the lodge."

"This place is a slice of paradise in Costa Rica and perfect for families!
Our stay here with our two kids was nothing short of magical. Nestled in lush, tropical surroundings, this sustainable haven offers a unique blend of comfort, nature, and authentic local charm. From the moment we arrived, we were welcomed like family by the warm and attentive staff, whose kindness and hospitality truly made our experience unforgettable.
The lodge is a dream for families—safe, serene, and full of adventure 😊. Our kids loved exploring the place, meeting the farm animals, and joining in the daily activities designed to both entertain and educate. Whether we were taking nature walks, learning about sustainable farming practices, or simply relaxing in the hammocks with fresh tropical juice in hand, every moment felt enriching and peaceful.
The accommodations were cozy, clean, and thoughtfully designed to blend seamlessly with the natural environment. Meals were a highlight—wholesome, delicious, and prepared with love using ingredients straight from the farm.
What truly sets this place apart is the heart behind it. The staff went above and beyond to ensure every guest felt cared for. Their passion for sustainability, community, and exceptional service shone through in everything they did.
This place is an absolute gem. We left with full hearts, new friendships, and memories that will last a lifetime. We can’t wait to return!"

"I drove out of my way 1/2 hour to return to this restaurant because of my stellar first meal and waited 35 minutes for the same order. When it was served the fish was undercooked (raw in the middle). The rice was not good tasted reheated…I didn’t try anything else. So disappointed. Just left without eating. Too bad! It went from excellent to unacceptable. Even the plating of the food was different. See photos! Attractive for first visit - messy for second visit. Rice was so great first time. So awful second time. Same for banana!
Previous review was five star: I wasn’t staying here. Came for lunch. Because it didn’t start until 1230, I walked around the property for an hour. I really enjoy the plants, animals and birds I saw!
Lunch was excellent. I got the fish Casado. I cleaned my plate!! Absolutely delicious! Loved the rice! So flavorful and fresh and also attractive looking! The tilapia was very fresh and tasty. The plantains were super fresh and perfectly cooked.
The veggie side and black beans were tasty. The food exceeded my expectations."
