What Travellers Say
Reviews Summary
Punta Mala Pais is highly praised for its friendly staff, natural setting with abundant wildlife, and excellent surf access. Guests love the relaxed atmosphere, the inviting pool, and the sense of community. Some minor drawbacks include the lack of air conditioning and the dusty roads typical of the area.
"The Camp is just the perfect hide out for staying in St. Teresa but avoiding the mad crowds and dusty roads of main street. The whole staff is very friendly and helpful, with Elise hosting you like you are family. I liked it so much I even stayed a couple of days longer after my friends left and Elise gave me a double room for the same price I payed for my 4 bed shared room space. All the facilities get cleaned daily. The Pool is really big and a great alternative if the waves are just too strong on the beach, with the beach just being 3 min away though and it has the most stunning sunsets. I really can't recommend staying here enough!"

"Very helpful staff, the place is surrounded by nature, you can find plenty of owlers and capuchin monkeys hanging around in the mango trees. You can also see a few iguanas chilling by the pool, they are very well at ease with the humans. The communal kitchen is well equipped and there's a trail just in front of the surf camp to access the beach. Thanks again"

"This is a great place to stay! I´ve been staying in this place for the last 3 years every time I´m in the area. It´s a great place to camp, with all the comfort one could ask for (electricity, kitchen, bathrooms, security). This was my first year at a villa, and it was just awesome, the room was beautiful. The pool is a great plus, chilling after spending all day at the beach is a must! The food at the restaurant has great taste and portions are the right size (all for a fair price). 100% will recommend this place"
