What Travellers Say
Reviews Summary
Marenco Biological Reserve is lauded for its incredible wildlife encounters and stunning remote location, offering a truly immersive nature experience. Guests praise the rustic charm of the cabins, the delicious food, and the knowledgeable guides. While the remoteness and limited amenities like Wi-Fi are part of its appeal, some may find it challenging.
"Katrin and Michael, we stayed there several days in the Punta Marenco and it was one of our best places in Costa Rica. The Lodge was perfect, spotting animals was perfect and we had the opportunity to do a lot od walks around. I had also a Trail-Run along the cost to Drake Bay and back - fantastic experience."
Michael Koeberich
"Very nice and remote lodge with a beautiful view.
Ariel is a very funny and competent waiter and Steven is a very knowledgeable guide.
Keep in mind that the lodge is very remote and you don't have wi-fi in your room"
Christian Kasparek
"This place was rustic and amazing. We stayed in a grass roof style hut, with a nice balcony on the mountain side and a great view of the ocean. It was amazing to see the wildlife pass our hut each morning and evening as they navigated the jungle and the coastline. The experience is not resort like at all, but if you really want to see the best wildlife in Costa Rica, this is the way. The food was great, the internet was available for a couple hours a day when they would turn the power on at the common area."
