Embraced by the majestic forest of Tapantí National Park, we spent a beautiful day of Horse Guided Coherence at Las Cumbres stud farm in Costa Rica. I unexpectedly fell for Olaf — the golden horse with a Don Juan soul and a rockstar’s hairdo. @lascumbrescostarica is a magical place where every detail reflects the owners’ warmth and inspiring style. Reviews Summary

Visitors rave about Tapantí National Park's stunning, moss-covered forests and the profound sense of tranquility it offers due to its lack of crowds. While some trails are challenging and muddy, the rewarding views and peaceful river access make it a worthwhile escape. The park is praised for its pristine natural beauty and the opportunity for a serene nature experience.

"Really enjoyed our visit to this park. It was a beautiful, mossy wonderland. The trees are teaming with bromeliads and orchids. We did both available hikes and the more difficult hike was pretty difficult for me! But we enjoyed it. The shorter hike down to the river was my favorite of the two hikes. It’s pretty easy and the river is beautiful. The park was not remotely crowded. We saw 4?or 5 people during our stay. The ranger at the entrance was very helpful and friendly. Be sure to get reservations online before you go. I didn’t realize this was the case, but the helpful staff at Orosi Lodge said it was needed and he was right. Be sure and enjoy this beautiful park and part of Costa Rica."

Mary Gibson

"My partner and I only walked the first, easiest trail but it was so worth it! Visiting the Rio Grande is one of the highlights of our trip. I found a big rock near the flowing water and just laid there. It was magical and I haven’t felt at such peace in a long time."

K N

"Only 2 of the 3 trails in the park were open, but that was ok. We saw a plant/flower that only grows in this area of Costa Rica. The one trail was really easy, only took about 30 minutes to walk it. The other trail is much more difficult. It's a circular trail and if you traverse it properly, you're going downhill on the steepest portion. But that stretch is pretty difficult because of the condition of the path."
