"It rained so much that the boats couldn't go and there were also many restrictions on entering the walking trail. Be sure to check the weather before you visit~#Plitvice #Croatia #결혼23주년 #✈👨🏻👩🏻🇭🇷"

"If you are accessing the park from entrance 2 this is pretty much the starting point for the E, F and K trails on the upper lakes. The small electric boats run approximately every 30 minutes and lines can form during peak times. Everything is very well signposted and there are plenty of people around to help if you need it. This area also has a nice green space with picnic tables and provides a nice place to take a break - and is usually much less crowded than the other rest areas. There is also a small cafe/restaurant that serves reasonably priced snacks as well as freshly cooked to order burgers which are pretty tasty I have to say. If you are feeling adventurous (or romantic) you can also hire rowboats to take out onto the lake."

"Hard to describe with words… it’s really beautiful, amazing, stunning, and well maintained. Even the ticket is a bit expensive, it’s worth every penny. It includes a boat ride, and a bus drive. The trails are well defined and pass through the best viewpoints. Everything very well organized, and friendly personnel. I’ll come back for sure!!"

📸 📸 Photography Tips
The boat ride itself offers unique angles of the waterfalls and surrounding nature. Look for viewpoints along the trails that capture the expansive lakes and cascading water. Early morning light is often best.
Crowds can make it challenging to get unobstructed shots, especially on narrow paths and bridges where people stop for selfies. Visiting early or late in the day can help.
A wide-angle lens is great for capturing the vast landscapes. A polarizing filter can help reduce glare on the water and enhance the vibrant colors of the lakes. A tripod can be useful for longer exposures of waterfalls, but can be cumbersome in crowded areas.
Drone usage is generally prohibited within national parks to protect wildlife and the natural environment, and to ensure visitor safety. Always check the latest park regulations.
Experiment with different shutter speeds. A slower shutter speed can create a silky, smooth effect for waterfalls, while a faster one will freeze the motion of the water.

Tailored advice for your travel style
👨👩👧 Families with Kids
Bring plenty of snacks and water, as food options within the park can be limited and pricey. Strollers can be challenging on many of the wooden boardwalks and stairs, so a carrier might be a better option for very young children. Checking the weather forecast is crucial, as rain can impact accessibility and the boat tours.
🚶 Budget Travelers
Opting for public transportation (buses) from nearby cities like Zadar or Split is generally more economical than renting a car and paying for parking. Staying in accommodation outside the immediate park area can also be more budget-friendly. Visiting during the shoulder seasons (spring or autumn) might offer slightly lower accommodation prices and fewer crowds, enhancing the value of your ticket.
