What Travellers Say
Reviews Summary
Visitors find the dinosaur footprints a unique and imaginative experience, though they can be hard to spot and require some effort to find. The rugged natural beauty of Cape Kamenjak and the adventurous journey to the site are often highlighted as positives, making it a worthwhile stop for those exploring the area.
"The day was rainy with thunderstorms, and it started raining just as we entered the park. We almost turned back, but decided to continue driving slowly toward the tip of Cape Kamenjak before heading back. The terrain here is rough and rocky, so we drove with extra caution to avoid flat tires.
Fortunately, by the time we reached the Safari Bar area, the weather was dry—cloudy skies but surprisingly dry ground. The Safari Bar itself was closed, most likely because it was already low season/bad weather. From there, we took some photos of the coastline, which had a unique atmosphere in the moody weather. The landscape had an almost African-like vibe.
On the way back, the rain had stopped, so we decided to try again to find the dinosaur footprints. They’re not easy to spot without guidance. Thanks to review photos posted online, we managed to locate them without wasting too much time. Without those references, it would have been much harder, or we might have missed them completely.
Overall, the experience felt adventurous and different. The site is worth a visit if you’re already exploring the area, but be prepared for rough roads, bring patience for the search, and check out some online photos beforehand so you know what to look for."

"Slightly underwhelming, prints are hard to see but once you do it's pretty cool. None of us have seen them before and even relatively cynical kids of 13 & 15 were suitably impressed.
It's a short 5 minute walk from the nearby carpark, beach and restaurant so why not visit if ever you're on Kamecak.
Never seen dino footprints before and probably never will again, so good...just not amazing"

"With a lot of phantasy, you may recognize some engraved signs that could be interpreted as dinosaurs’ foot prints. Nevertheless, a nice place, with lots to discover and enjoy."
