What Travellers Say
Reviews Summary
Visitors rave about Švalba Seafront Steps as a hidden gem offering crystal clear waters perfect for snorkeling and a unique atmosphere due to the adjacent abandoned villa. The natural shade from the pine forest and the easy access via a pier with a ladder are highly praised. However, the lack of amenities like cafes and restrooms is a notable drawback for some.
"We had a lovely snorkel and swim here. It is great there is a small pier to jump off with a sturdy ladder for getting out of the water. Parking is close and the pathways through the park make this beach easy to get to. Highly recommend!"

"Such a great hidden gem in Rovinj. The atmosphere of being in an abandoned hotel/villa next to the sea is one of a kind. The water was also the warmest here and it was also crystal clear, perfect for snorkeling. Must visit!"
Kornel Krzymowski
"Interesting wild beach (no cafes, umbrellas, sunbeds, showers). Good parking (paid by the hour, you can do it all day for 7 euros) at the entrance to the park/forest and then along the path to the beach. These paths lead to many different beaches, some of which are well equipped. There is a part with larger gravel, and there are rocks around with a solid entry into the water. In the background is a pine forest, great shade and a wonderful smell.
The bottom of the sea is interesting if you like to dive, I saw a lot of large specimens of fish."
