"Ski resort with beautiful views. Unfortunately snow is hard to find on this sea level for a while now, and you can enjoy hiking on the ski tracks and around the breathtaking mountains.
Great for family weekends, but then expect a lot of crowd from cities, crowded parking, and nerve wrecking traffic congestion due to abysmal road conditions and capacity. Pick any workday and enjoy the silence."

"Great place for local ppl (vicinity of Rijeka) to go for hiking, skiing(in winter), walking or any other activity close to their homes and enjoy the fresh air, peace and quiet of this mountain and other surrounding peaks which are connnected by mountain paths. There are also 2 taverns where you can eat, stay overnight and refresh yourself with cold beer or hot tea. Very often there are organized all kinds of sport events for children and adults. There are also barbecue stations in forest which you can use/rent during spring time and there are few parks for children. The road has been renewed and maintained which is excellent. Ofc there is still room for improvement and maybe from the point of visitor who is not from that area, would rate this place 3 stars, but as a local 4-5 stars is a must because Platak became part of their daily lives as a place for recreation and relaxation. Fun fact about Platak is that while you ski you can see part of Kvarner bay (Adriatic sea) from the mountain, which is astonishing."
