What Travellers Say
Reviews Summary
Visitors find the Old Jewish Cemetery a historically significant and mysterious place, offering a shaded respite on Marjan Hill. However, many express deep disappointment and sadness over its neglected state and lack of maintenance, calling it a disgrace to the city's heritage.
"Such a sad thing to see this Jewish cemetary - a part of history of this wonderful city that was brutally and murderously ended - to lay there in such disrepair and disrespect and without proper memory. A disgrace that such a booming tourist city could not have the honor and money for one gardener to take care of this place or even take care of the graves, make an index of the deceased etc. So sad."

"Very interesting place to visit on your way into the main park. Most of the headstones were from the 1920’s and 1930’s. The entrance is just to the right of the restaurant and there is no entrance fee. It only takes a few minutes to walk around. There is only one entrance in and out."
