What Travellers Say
Reviews Summary
Visitors praise Sibenik Old Town for its authentic, well-maintained historic charm, with many enjoying the cozy, narrow streets and lively evening atmosphere. The St. James Cathedral and fortresses are highlights, though parking and finding public toilets can be challenging.
"We came on a family holiday with 2 children. Every evening we drive into the old town for a walk. The small streets are very cozy, it feels like walking through history. Sometimes the cobbled streets are surprisingly narrow, they shine brightly, you can see how they have been polished over many, many years. Full of small shops, restaurants, street musicians, walking along the beach also small bars. The stairwells are full in the evening, many people sit and talk on them. Parking is very difficult, there is no space after 30-40 minutes of searching. The children also enjoy a walk, dinner and ice cream, watching the small and large ships in the harbor. What is also interesting is that you can see a lot of cats. Our favorite place is German BBQ Streetfood, the service is great. We had some unpleasant experiences in other places, it was difficult for us to find a toilet. We were not allowed into several restaurants, we found a public toilet in one place. Cozy Mediterranean small town, full of centuries-old memories and buildings."

"Ancient city, one of the oldest in Dalmatia. The city has retained its authenticity, which fortunately hasn't been disrupted by the numerous restaurants, bars and shops - everything is very nicely integrated into the environment. It is evident that it is well-maintained and taken care of."
