What Travellers Say
Reviews Summary
Visitors consistently praise the Troodos Mountains for their stunning natural beauty, charming traditional villages, and cooler climate compared to the coast. The scenic drives and opportunities for hiking and exploring historical sites are major highlights. Some find the winding roads challenging, and occasional lack of clear signage can be a minor inconvenience.
"This place is a must if you have access to a car to drive up. The roads are very good although you do sometimes feel like your driving through someone's back yard at times but the views and the lovely little towns that you stumble across and don't be afraid to stop and grab a coffee and cake they are always welcoming."

"A must do experience if you’re visiting Cyprus, it took us 2 hrs from protaras but road up and down is perfectly safe with lots of shops and restaurants in the way , amazing waterfalls stops in the way up ad well, free parking slots as well"
Nada Khaled
"No visit to Cyprus is complete without at least one visit to the Troodos region. Lots of Monasteries, Churches, historic/cultural sites, picnic areas, wineries, hiking areas, tavernas, etc. The weather is cooler (and sometimes cold), and the vibe is completely different from that of the beaches. In the beach areas, only a small percentage of the people one encounters are actually Cypriot, but the mountains attract a lot of internal tourism, so one encounters a lot more locals. If you ask a Cypriot where they personally prefer to visit on a day trip, Troodos is likely to top the list."
