What Travellers Say
Reviews Summary
Červený Hrádek is appreciated for its historic charm, spacious rooms, and beautiful lakeside setting, offering a peaceful retreat. While some find the interiors dated and the restaurant closes early, the friendly staff and good value make it a recommended stop for those seeking a unique, tranquil experience.
"Great place, personally I love historic and monumental buildings. Placed on the hill, surrounded with lake and nature, was good to have a walk around. Stayed for one night, but would like to stay longer and visit Surround areas for example like Žatec, which as I remember has at least 1 brewery. At the morning I went for breakfast to their restaurant area which is placed inside the Chateu, just I needed to cross the patio. Breakfast was good, coffe also and it was included in the booking. Professional and nice personnel. Hope I'll have a chance to come back one day. Greetings!"

"I've chosen this place for a business trip and mainly because of the Tesla destination charger, which I found in a functional state.
The rooms I booked were with shared bathroom which I didn't expect in a chateau. We asked for an upgrade which luckily was possible.
The rooms are of average size and very high. The interior is old and dated, but clean and functional. The bathroom was OK, but almost no amendments.
The bed was good, but I had to open the window as the room was overheated (for some people a good thing).
The staff was very friendly and helpful, but because of the partial lockdown the restaurant was already closed at 20:00. They let us into the newly planned hotel bar. They told us we were the first ones to use it.
Unfortunately the breakfast is only from 8:00. The only hotel I know.... So we didn't enjoy this offer.
In general it's a beautiful building and pleasant surroundings, but it needs big investments to really use the potential. I rather would pay double for the room and enjoy a higher level of comfort.
But the quality/price ratio is good and if you need/want a place in this neighbourhood, please try this chateau."

"Nice place. Hôtel is nice, ans private spa worthy.
Restaurant closes very early (last order 19:00!!!). Service dépends on which day you go. The czech guy is not wow. But the 2 Ukrainian girls are very nice, helpful, smiling all the time."
