Is there an actual beer spa?
I’m traveling to Prague with some friends soon. Is there an actual beer spa that isn’t just BS? I’ve heard that tons of them are tourist traps, and you don’t even bathe in real beer. Does anyone have any tips for a good one to bring my friends to? Thanks :) Edit: I know it’s…

Beer spa in Prague vs Budapest
Hi all. Am travelling in Prague and Budapest over the next week and I’ve noticed both Prague and Budapest offer the beer spa. Does anyone have any insight as to which one is “better” than the other? I want to try it out once but don’t think I need to do it twice. Thanks in…

What Travellers Say
Reviews Summary
Visitors often describe the Beer Spa Prague as a unique and novel experience, perfect for a one-time visit. The unlimited beer and relaxing bath are highlights, though some find the 'beer' mixture less authentic than expected and the experience can feel a bit rushed at the end of the session.
"Review: Original Beer Spa – A One-Time Experience Worth Knowing About
We visited the Original Beer Spa over the weekend — a group of four guys curious about what the hype was all about. While the name might evoke visions of soaking in beer, the reality is a little different. The tubs aren’t filled with actual beer, but rather a mix of water and beer-related ingredients like hops and brewer’s yeast, which they claim are beneficial for the skin.
The experience starts with a quick introduction from the staff. They explain the setup and set a 51-minute timer for your session. Once the timer goes off, you’re expected to shower and head out. The room itself is quite warm, almost sauna-like, and the sturdy wooden tub maintains a steady temperature of around 37°C with bubbling jets to keep things relaxing.
You are offered unlimited free beer during the session, but realistically, not many people drink much in that one hour — I don’t drink myself, so it didn’t matter to me. Still, it might be a perk for beer enthusiasts.
As for the staff, they were functional — they answered questions and did their job, but don’t expect warm hospitality or enthusiastic smiles. They’re polite, but the overall vibe was more transactional than welcoming.
The spa is decent overall, and it might be worth trying once just for the novelty, but for the price, I personally didn’t feel it offered great value. It’s not something I’d return to — I’ve had my experience, and that’s enough.
Tip: Make sure to keep pictures of the entrance and location, especially if you’re visiting for the first time. It helps to know exactly where you’re going, as it’s easy to miss or walk past it without realizing."
