What Travellers Say
Reviews Summary
Visitors praise Broumov Monastery for its impressive Baroque architecture and historical significance. The Church of St. Adalbert and its unique treasures are often highlighted. However, some find tours are primarily in Czech, and access to certain areas like the library can be limited due to renovations.
"We had the unexpected pleasure of meeting Jaromír Louda at BaguCaffe, where he was sitting at a table chatting with friends. He wasn’t easy to spot as a tour guide, but he made a point to come over and talk with us—something we truly appreciated. Despite the language barrier, we managed to communicate using Google Translate, and it worked surprisingly well.
Jaromír kindly offered to give us a tour of the town, and it ended up being one of the highlights of our entire trip. The town is full of charm and history, but it was Jaromír’s passion, knowledge, and warmth that really brought it to life. Every stop along the way came with fascinating stories and details we never would’ve discovered on our own.
If you’re lucky enough to run into Jaromír—perhaps again at BaguCaffe—don’t hesitate to say hello. You might just be in for an unforgettable experience. Highly recommended!"

"✅ A huge monastery, a bit run down
⚠️ We talk the guided tour. It’s only in Czech language. No English or other languages. The guide didn’t sound like she knew too much. You can view tue library, church and some other rooms. That’s the only way to view the monastery from inside"
