"A small but very charming artificial grotto hidden inside the gardens of Prague. It’s a man-made cave (“umělá jeskyně” means “artificial cave” in Czech), built in the 19th century as part of the romantic landscaping trend that was popular in European parks at the time.
The structure is designed to look like a natural rocky cave, with irregular stone walls, arches and little corners that make it feel mysterious and a bit fairytale-like.
It was created to give visitors a sense of surprise while walking through the garden, offering a cool and quiet spot to explore.
