The City with more tourists than locals 🇨🇿 ▪️UNESCO World Heritage Site Český Krumlov might not ring a bell, but I’ll explain why a lot of people do know this small city in the Czech Republic. The historic center has been protected by law since 1992. And because of its beauty, it has been named as an UNESCO World Heritage Site. Especially the Castle area is stunning and worth a visit. ▪️Touris...

Reviews Summary

Cesky Krumlov is widely praised as a stunningly beautiful, fairytale-like town with well-preserved medieval architecture and a picturesque riverside setting. Visitors appreciate the charm of the old town and the impressive castle complex. However, some find the town to be overly touristy, leading to a less friendly atmosphere and a feeling of being exploited for money.

"One of the most beautiful towns in Europe, with all its buildings and location, creates a wonderful composition of a place that looks like something out of a fairy tale, but built by human hands."

Lukasz Taborski

"Approach and services that you really need as a tourist in overly touristic place. Right in the city center and with services that the tourists use.
Me and my friend asked for luggage storage, as we wanted to walk at the streets of historical center without out backpacks. The lady behind the cash was very friendly, explained us how does it work, including opening ours of the info-center.
The storage of one bag costs 50 crowns per day. Storage room is outside of info-center main room so the shop assistant went with us to store out luggage and later to pick it up.
One disadvantage is opening time of the place. It would be nice to have the longer times, or to be able to pick the luggage up when we need it to."

Jana Krištanová

"We lost our phone with all our tickets while visiting Cesky Krumlov. We were directed to the infocentrum.

The lady who helped us was exceptional! Her name was Lucia if I'm not mistaken. She spoke fluent English, was extremely helpful, went out of her way and called the ticket place and had our bus tickets back to the hotel emailed to her and she printed a copy for us. Ultimately it was a great ending since our phone was returned by a kind gentleman🙂

We cannot thank her enough !"
