"While we were visiting our friend in České Budejovice we saw adverts for a festival in Holešovice. We arrived there at 4pm, parked our car at one of the festival carpaks. Then we walked for about 5 minutes to the main festival which is located at the village square. The entry fee was 250CZK per adult. What a fine example of local craftsmanship and local food and drinks. There must have been over a hundred stalls. In the middle of the square was a podium with live music. We really enjoyed the atmosphere and the people were very nice."

"It’s easy to see why Downtown Holašovice is a heritage site. Most buildings are well preserved and untouched by socialist-era developments. It’s a charming little village, quite memorable. While there isn’t much to see, 30 minutes of sightseeing followed by a meal in one of the decent restaurants still makes it a worthwhile day trip from Český Krumlov or České Budějovice."
