How to go skiing from Prague
I have a couple of days off work at the start of 2024 and would love to have a day or two skiing to start off the new year. What are the easiest ski areas to get to from Prague? Are any easily accessible without a car? I can do an overnight stay if needed so it doesn't have to…

What Travellers Say
Reviews Summary
Visitors praise Ještěd Ski Area for its beautiful landscape and the iconic tower offering stunning panoramic views. The ski slopes are generally well-maintained and suitable for various levels, with night skiing being a popular feature. However, some find the facilities basic and the cable car outdated and exposed to the elements.
"Beautiful landscape. I was lucky with the weather and went in a perfect timing 😁
I went in Feb 15th and temperature was around -5 °C. There are not a lot of facilities so you must go really prepared. Check the weather conditions and dress properly. There is a place to rent skiing gear, check online for the prices."

"Nice ski resort close to PL/CZK/DE border. There are not many good ski centrums in Czechia, but Ješted is definitely one of the better ones. Resort offers couple of ski tracks, even one small track for little kids. The resort is also available for night skiing and in the morning arranges fresh track. One minus is the cableway, which is quite old and not covered, so you can get really cold while sitting there."
Cyntia Pethövá
"Beautiful landscape. I was there in January and it was a lot of snow. The ski jump was closed but it was impressive to see the straight jumping pad!"
