"Munický pond is located south of Hluboká nad Vltavou, its area is 118.5 ha, it is supplied by the Munický brook and a system of sewers leading from the nearby Bezdrev pond. The year of founding is unknown, and by whom. It is only known that in 1514 it was expanded by Vojtěch of Perštejn. On its south side is the Ohrada Zoo, which uses the pond area in some enclosures, especially for waterfowl. Fishing takes place once every 2 years (every even year) as part of the South Bohemian Fishing Festival.
