What Travellers Say
Reviews Summary
Visitors praise the Museum of Applied Arts Brno for its free permanent exhibitions, unique robot coffee experience, and engaging displays of Czech design and fashion. While some special exhibitions have an entry fee, the overall value is high. Minor inconveniences include locker deposit requirements and the lack of wheelchair rentals.
"Nice museum in Brno, highlighting the local design achievements throughout the 19th, 20th and 21st centuries.
-Free admittance to the permanent exhibitions 👍
-Very few people 👍
-Robot coffee experience 👍
-Lockers only accepting 10kc deposit for the key 🤨 had to keep the backpack in my hands 🫴"

"I visited an exposition called Made by Fire and as I see it, I spent some quality time.
The museum itself has multiple floors and there are also multiple expositions happening at the same time. A café with a robotic arm that prepares your drink is located on the ground floor. Since I was leaving close to closing time of the place, I missed ordering a drink in that café. Maybe the next time.
You can buy some design products at the cash desk. They are real pieces done by artists, so the prices are not low. But if you are into this kind of things, you will surely find something that you like.
I appreciated lockers and a coat hanger at the entrance. You can leave your things and a backpack, if you have any, as it's not allowed to take one to the expositions anyway."

"Just wow!!!
This gallery is something!
The entrance is free in general (July 2024) but there was an exhibition 'Made by fire' that cost 190 czk/adult. Worth visiting!!! So much creativity, beauty, intelligence. The place is overall gorgeous, accessible, with WC, small coffee house inside where coffee can make a robot for you! Stellar exhibitions, friendly staff. Highly recommend visiting! You won't be disappointed"
