Although it looks older, Mánes Bridge is actually one of the newer Prague bridges. It was completed in 1914 and was originally named Most arch. Antonína Čermáka after a Chicago mayor of Czech origin. It only received the name “Mánes Bridge” in 1920, after the famous Czech painter Josef Mánes. Another detail: the bridge is decorated with cubist-style railings and lamps, which is very rare for bridges in Europe."
