What Travellers Say
Reviews Summary
Visitors consistently praise the Plzeň Historical Underground for its unique and engaging experience, highlighting the fascinating history and the enjoyable guided tours. The complimentary beer at the end is a well-received bonus. Some minor concerns include the need to book in advance and being mindful of low ceilings within the tunnels.
"Great experience, 1h tour of the underground tunnels. Booking in advance almost mandatory as tours are guided and start at specific times with limited availability. Complimentary beer at the end of the tour."
Michele Peghini
"Cool underground tour. Wasn't as cold as I worried it might be. Interesting to see just a fraction of their massive underground network and how much water/wells exist here. Makes sense as the birthplace of pilsener to have tons of high quality water.
Grateful to have the hard hat as I smacked my head on the ceiling multiple times when I wasn't paying attention to where the height dipped down.
Drink ticket they give you can be redeemed at restaurant attached to museum which is both convenient and good as they are one of two places in pilsen that offer the unfiltered beer."
Vincent Mok
"Very unique experience! If in Pilsen, I definitely recommend booking a tour. Our guide was excellent. My husband and I enjoyed learning about the history of Pilsen during the tour as well. We drove from our hotel at Chateau Zbiroh and did the English Tour at 1:00 followed by the Pilsner Urquell Brewery Tour around 2:45. The timing worked out well for both and it was a nice, easy day trip!"
