Thanks to Sázava Monastery for a private tour and use of the beautiful convent refectory for a video. Above me is fresco “Abbot Procopius Giving Alms” from the Baroque era. I wrote this piece in the moment, a serenade for my girlfriend. I love playing in rooms where acoustics are perfect for my violin. Czech culture is so inspiring.

"The monastery has 2 tours available. One for the church and one for the old monastery quarters. Both tours were held in Czech but in the guides that I had spoke English and provided translated printouts so you can read along. The church itself is actively being used by the community, so plan accordingly.

The monastery at one point in time changed hands to someone who tried to turn it into a baroque style mansion. Much of the old building has been remodeled and old frescoes had been painted over. Right now they're uncovering and restoring the old works, which as you might expect is a slow and costly endeavour. Send them some love if you can.

For the people that played Kingdom Come, they're very much aware of the impact that this game had on the popularity of the monastery. There's some game related goodies being sold along with the other souvenirs. Jesus Christ be praised."
