Reviews Summary

Visitors find the Stamp Museum to be an affordable and valuable destination, especially for stamp collectors and Postcrossers, thanks to its extensive philatelic shop. While the historical exhibits are noted as small and potentially scattered with limited English descriptions, the downstairs collection and the opportunity to purchase unique Czech stamps are significant highlights. Some guests mention a language barrier and less-than-friendly reception staff.

"The historical exhibit is small -- four rooms -- and feels scattered, at least when trying to follow its progression in English. It starts with the German occupation, implying there was no Czech postal service prior to WWII. It's disappointing that the mail on display is printed copies and not original items. The philatelic exhibit downstairs is vast, but it is arranged more as a collection than a gallery. Admission is only 50 czk, so it's hard to complain; but this postal museum is a far cry from its counterparts in countries like Poland, Serbia and the U.S."

"THE place to get Czech stamps! I didn't have time to see the museum, but after spending a ridiculous amount of time waiting just to see stamps at a regular post office, I came here. Not only do they have current stamps, but they have a great selection of stamps from past years. The lady who sold them was super nice and helped me find some nice souvenir sheets of Prague."

"Entrance CZK 50/10 Adult/Student. A very small museum mainly composed of stamps exhibits and a philatelic shop. The exhibits include stamps ČSR I-ČSSR-ČR, complete France collection from 1849 till 1989 and classic stamps from most EU countries, four personal collections donated to the museum. In the shop they sell postal cards issued before 2007 which are not shown on ceskaposta.cz"
