U Dvou Koček is highly praised for its authentic Czech cuisine, generous portions, and historic 400-year-old ambiance. Diners rave about the delicious goulash, traditional beer cheese, and friendly service, making it a must-visit for an immersive cultural and culinary experience in Prague.
"Really nice Czech bar. Waiter was very welcoming and the staff were quick to make sure the glass didn’t stay empty too long. Got the bohemian meat dish. The meat was very tasty and the accompanying cabbage was really really tasty. Dumplings were good but could have done with some more sauce for them. Great place to go in a group."

"We sampled several versions of goulash with dumplings during our time in Prague, and this was easily my favorite. The plate came with both styles of dumplings, the smaller yellow ones are potato, the larger pale ones are bread, perfect for soaking up the rich sauce. I had the schnitzel and it was tasty and flavorful, even the side of boiled potatoes had a depth of flavor that surprised me.
We also tried the famous Czech “beer cheese.” It wasn’t quite what I expected, but I can see why it’s a traditional beer snack here... bold and tangy.
What made it even more memorable is that this tavern has been serving guests for over 400 years. Eating classic Czech comfort food in such a historic setting felt like stepping back in time."

"Me and my partner were unsure where to eat one night in Prague. This place with its cozy atmosphere and cat theme drew us in. The service was cheerful and friendly, and we ordered fried cheese to start then the goulash for main. All the food was superb: just delicious, unpretentious comfort food, exactly what we wanted. We now want to try making the goulash and dumplings when we get home! The local Czech beers were also fantastic. Highly recommended."
