What Travellers Say
Reviews Summary
Vltava River cruises in Prague are widely praised for their beautiful views and unique perspective of the city's landmarks, especially during sunset and evening. While many find the experience enjoyable and affordable, some reviewers note that cruises can sometimes be shorter than advertised and express dissatisfaction with customer service on certain tours.
"We took the 50 minute tour and it was pretty cool. It is what you imagine, but it was nice to see the city from another perspective. We didn’t have anything to drink or eat but the staff seemed to be nice and friendly. I’d recommend choosing an hour around sunset time, so you can see the city during the afternoon and then the lights turning on."

"We booked the two-hour cruise but came away quite disappointed. Out of the two hours, only about one hour was actually spent moving along the river. Nearly an entire hour was taken up sitting in the lock, half an hour in one direction and half an hour in the other. For the price we paid, this did not feel like good value at all.
There was no live commentary over a loudspeaker. Instead, we discovered by chance that you had to scan a QR code on the menu to access information, and nobody told us about it. Even then, the guide was not linked to GPS or the boat’s position, so it just read out generic notes rather than explaining what we were actually passing.
We each had a beer, which was fine, but the waiters kept coming back to ask if we wanted more. It gave the impression they were working on commission, which made the whole experience feel more about upselling drinks than enjoying the river.
If I were to recommend anything, it would be the 50 minute cruise rather than the two-hour one. That way, you actually spend your time seeing the river and its landmarks, rather than paying an extra €10 just to sit in the lock for an hour.
Overall, not impressed and not very happy with this trip."

"A great way to see the sights whilst enjoying a glass of wine/beer. Adult ticket ck450 for a 50 minute cruise.
Large, clean boat, table service and commentary. At times tricky to hear the commentary but a map in many languages also available.
All the staff we encountered were friendly and helpful.
Definitely worth a trip whilst you are in Prague."
