A COMPETITION ABOUT WHICH LITTLE ARE KNOWN!!!
The international competition for a family house, which was announced by the Baťa company in the spring of 1935 in an attempt to diversify the company's housing construction and expand the range of family houses built, became a household name.
Partly because architects from abroad also participated with their designs, a total of 289 projects by architects from 9 countries were submitted. This was also contributed by the fact that the famous French architect of Swiss origin Le Corbusier also sat on the jury and that, at the initiative of Dominik Čipera, the company's general director, a model colony was built from the winning designs in the U Lomu area. I will leave it to you, dear followers, to discover the history on your own.
Nevertheless, this competition was neither the only one nor the first that the Baťa plants announced on this topic. 🍀"

"History...nice view from the top of Burešov. It's just a shame about the narrow paths and streets, which are sometimes almost impossible to drive through."
