Reviews Summary
Visitors rave about CopenHill's unique concept, blending industrial innovation with recreational fun. The architecture is lauded, and the panoramic city views from the rooftop are a major highlight. While the artificial ski slope offers a novel experience, some experienced skiers find it challenging. The climbing wall is a significant draw for adventurers.
"We thought this was an amazing visit for those that enjoy architecture and sustainability and also functional buildings.
CopenHill has it all. The city of Copenhagen has amazing planed spaces that integrates people into unexpected activities like ski in a very flat city.
The “hill” is a trash processing plant and they have build amazingly a ski slope on top of that that allows skiers and mountain birders to ride down. Pretty amazing.
We visited in August and summer time so no ski happening but a few people snowboarding on the plastic slippery carpet that allows you to use the slope during summer.
If you are not into that you can still climb the 80+ meter of height to have a cold beer or refreshment in the roof top bar that offers good drinks. Cold beer with a view!"

"Radical. Waist deep pow. Fer Sherman.
It was such a great experience shredding “Trash Mountain.” I came with a local and other travelers with varying riding experience, and everyone had a good time. They had a rougher go at it, but I really, really enjoyed it.
Some tips: Wear gloves or wrist protection, and cover your knees or wear protection. Between those you’ll be fine. The plastic can leave a good scrape (some unprepared friends had some nasty ones).
Also, really commit to carving. Almost like you’re doing 180s back and forth. If you hold the edge too long, you’re likely to catch.
I’ve shredded many mountains in Colorado, a few in Canada, and even out in the Austrian alps, so I do have some experience, but I think the best experience was my riding at home (East Coast USA) with all our icy hills 😂
Hope this helps!! I would definitely come again. 🤙
PS. The whole recycling bit, the climbing wall, the ability to hike it, the bar/restaurant— all very cool and nice 👍"

"I didn’t ski but the views are spectacular. Take the lift up and walk back down for the best experience. From the lift you can see the inside of the rubbish plant. The cafe is well worth a stop too. Great place."
