"Clear, clean swimming lake, in beautiful nature. Bring a picnic basket and coffee. Walk around approx. 60 min. The lake is around approx. 2.7 km. Benches are available. Path down along the Millingbækken by the lock to the Hjejle boat landing place. Good cycle path, however, on the opposite side, many tree roots and hilly terrain.. small places for swimming. Visit the royal chair and notice the tall Douglas fir nearby, here the tallest tree in Scandinavia at 53.7 m has been found. There is a view down over the lake. Nearby is the Skyttehuset camping with a cafeteria and a view of the Gudenåen, take advantage of several options when you go here. Possibility of shopping and provisions at Kvickly in Ry Slimtoften. For the holiday and the forest. A short break at the Knudhule swimming area, possibly. The road Ry - Virklund. I use it often. Info map is available in the Skyttehuset cafeteria and camping.
