What Travellers Say
Reviews Summary
Visitors rave about the breathtaking beauty and impressive height of Aguas Blancas Waterfall, especially the upper falls. The well-maintained road is a plus, but the challenging, steep trails to the upper sections and the extremely cold water are noted drawbacks for some. It's a stunning natural attraction, but preparation for the climate and terrain is key.
"We came in the mid morning ona holiday and there weren't too many people (in August). A few locals. The parking area for the lower falls is well marked and there are about eight to ten spots. The trailhead is ready to spot and there is a sign. It's a short walk on concrete to the lower falls and the observation area there. It's not easy to get to the water if you want to swim and there are a lot of flies but it's pretty.
Going back along the road you'll see a sign for the upper falls trailhead and a pull of along the road. There aren't many slots for parking. The trail here is much steeper and winds up along the falls to an observation area at the second, higher falls. You can continue on up to the highest of the upper falls. It isn't hard climbing, but it takes maybe 20 minutes to get there. There are steep areas where you'll need to be careful where you step. The upper falls are beautiful and worth the effort."

"You can park right at the falls. The road is good, they must have renovated it recently. No people in late November weekday afternoon."
