This place is seriously overrated. It was dangerously overcrowded — people were crammed in like sardines, especially around the entrance where the only bar is located. In case of an emergency, there’s no clear way out. It felt like a major safety hazard.
They advertise it as an “open bar,” but there’s only one bar and it’s practically inaccessible. I couldn’t get a single drink without pushing through a sea of people.
The show itself is decent — the dancers and production are good — but nothing has changed since I last went to Coco Bongo in Cancun three years ago. Even the music was the same, which made the whole experience feel stale and repetitive.
Save your money and go somewhere you can actually move, dance, and enjoy yourself safely."
