What Travellers Say
Reviews Summary
Visitors rave about the incredible wildlife encounters at Black Turtle Cove, particularly the sea turtles and eagle rays. The unique mangrove ecosystem and the opportunity to see diverse birdlife are consistently praised. However, some reviews mention difficulty spotting sharks and the 'horrible' experience could stem from tour operator issues or unmet expectations, though this is a minority view.
"For an hour we went on our ship's dinghy through Black Turtle Cove. There were many great Eagle Ray sightings! It was harder to see the sharks under the water. From afar, we spotted two turtles mating in the water! Wildlife Spotted: Lava Heron, Blue-Footed Booby, Green Turtle, Brown Noddy, Eagle Rays, Brown Pelican, White-Tipped Reef Sharks, Galapagos Shark. This was part of a two-week cruise with "Go Galapagos" on the Coral I yacht in December 2024."
