Reviews Summary

The elaborate mausoleums and historical significance are major draws, offering a peaceful environment for contemplation. However, some areas may be restricted, and a permit is needed for professional photography.
"My dear companion loves cemeteries, so I decided to take her here after church at the majestic New Cathedral on Sunday. It is an enormous cemetery—the biggest I’ve ever been in—with crypts and mausoleums and everything stretching far far away. You can ascend stairs here and there to get good vantage points and/or just walk all around the grounds and contemplate family, history, mortality, and so on. Don’t go back by the crematorium, though; we got shooed away by one of the guards. What are they hiding back there, I wonder?"

"It is a very nice peaceful cemetery. It is very different from the typical north American cemetery. If you want to take photos, a permit is required."
