Plaza San Sebastián is a peaceful urban park in Cuenca, appreciated for its relaxed atmosphere and convenient location next to the Cuenca MOMA. While some visitors note a lack of water in the fountain or vibrant flowers, it remains a pleasant spot for resting, people-watching, and enjoying meals at its surrounding restaurants with terraces.
"It’s an urban park by the San Sebastián Church on one end and the Cuenca MOMA on the other. There are benches to rest one’s weary legs. An attraction of the square seems to be the flock of pigeons that don’t fly away, awaiting for people to feed them.
It looks very quiet, few trees provide canopy BUT there’s noticeable complete absence of flowers or flower beds. There’s a fountain but there’s no water. As such, the square looks very drab.
The whole area is paved with hard wearing titles, which makes the place heat up under an intense sun."

"This park is generally peaceful, with benches and nice trees and flowers. There are several good places to eat, and an art museum across the street. This park is 3 blocks away from a tranvía stop."

"Great little park/plaza that is usually quiet and not very busy. Lots of park benches to sit and watch pigeons and people pass by. There are usually some children playing in or around the fountain, whether or not it has water I. It. There are some nice restaurants and cafes with terraces on the plaza which is rare in Latin America."
