"Our HX Galapagos tour included an amazing day trip to San Cristobal, led by naturalist guides. After a visit to Cerro Colorado, the giant tortoise nature refuge, we enjoyed some free time strolling along the shore of Puerto Baquerizo Moreno. When we visited in the late afternoon, the rocks were covered with lounging sea creatures. We saw sea lions, lizards, marine iguanas, sally lightfoot crabs staking out different areas of the rocks. There was a brown pelican perched on the pier to greet visitors as they came ashore. The boardwalk area by the pier offered a choice of attractiveshops and restaurants plus a shady ramada to sit and admire the scenery. There are 2 lovely photo spots with colorful murals. If you have time, walk along the boardwalk to see the large 3-d map of the Galapagos Islands with the San Cristobal sign."
