"Great experience visiting the Haapsalu medieval Castle. The restoration is truly remarkable and the necessary modifications for the rehabilitation of a museum inside the castle are superbly arranged. The only black spot are the glass panels with the legends written in white letters, a rather unfortunate choice which makes reading extremely difficult !

"This is a large castle ruin still with an extensive exterior wall, an intact tower, and a repaired cathedral which is a very large single nave cathedral. We hadn't intended to visit thinking it was closed, but once inside saw it was open and decided to visit. The castle grounds were free but the tower and cathedral are in a paid museum. The exhibits were fairly simple but hands on and you can test various swords and Armour. My wife and I loved this museum and castle. The cathedral is quite impressive and has a great story inside. A must see in Haapsalu which is a charming little resort town and also worth a visit. This is a top marks from me. Great for kids also. With information simple, effective, and easy to understand. Excellent views over the town and coast from the wall next to the tower."
