Reviews Summary

Visitors praise Sõrve Military Museum for its authentic, extensive collection and the passionate hospitality of its owner, offering a unique 'dark tourism' experience. While the lack of English information and challenging transport are noted downsides, the personal touch and affordability make it a highly recommended, hidden gem.

"Authentic place with an eerie yet hospitable atmosphere. Extensive collection of war artifacts and items from the Sovieta era. I liked the exhibitions in the other two buildings (maritime and natural history) even better. The former was the most tidy, the latter - the most interesting for a person more happy to learn about the beautiful nature of nature (the details of birds feathers, or butterfly wings, the anatomy of frogs), rather than the dark side of the human nature (war atrocities, and propaganda).
Even though I was the only visitor at that time of windy, rainy November morning, the host made sure to provide me with hot tea/coffee with in each of the buildings. Much appreciated.
Big downside: no info in English whatsoever."
